Britny works to increase awareness and bookings of Grand Rapids as a convenient, fun and memorable destination for group tours, weddings and family reunions. She builds relationships with tour managers across the U.S. and the world, and connects them with our local partners and resources to facilitate custom experiences. She also works to identify wedding and family reunion opportunities, and simplifies the planning process for those choosing Grand Rapids.
Britny grew up in South Haven and fell in love with Grand Rapids while attending Grand Valley State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. She lived in Chicago for three years after college, but jumped at the chance to move back to our fair city. “There isn’t anywhere else that compares.”
Bio Bits:
- Enjoys the occasional Green Zebra, a gose-style ale from Founders Brewing Company. “One of the best sour beers I’ve had!”
- Tells brunch aficionados they have to try the breakfast empanadas at downtown’s San Chez Bistro.
- Loves the beach and kayakable waters at Millennium Park, and has been known to explore the park’s trail network with her puppy, Sadie (on a leash, of course)
Britny is a beach, water and sunset enthusiast – and says nearby Holland, Grand Haven, Muskegon and Saugatuck/Douglas offer excellent examples of all three.
